Rita's Flowers
Someone once said "Every artist should be an exhibitionist". With that in mind, I have a busy few months coming up. On the 21st of August, my "Summer's End" series of paintings with be shown at Wade Designs Jewelry, Rocky Mount. I am honored to be the featured artist and appreciated Rita and John Wade showing my work in their wonderful store. All attendees will receive a signed print of "Rita's Flowers", a lovely painting of the sunflowers in the store.
Next came the wonderful news that 2 paintings have been chosen for the Junior League of Raleigh's Town and Country Show. Bob Rankin and Rory Parnell juried that show. The work will be on display and for sale at the Raleigh Convention Center Oct. 1-5.
And if that wasn't enough to make my head swell, my abstract "Uplifting" was one of 43 paintings juried into the prestigeous N.E.W. show at the Visual Art Exchange of Raleigh. I'm in great company with 437 works submitted by 250 artist and 43 were chosen. The juror was Brad Thomas of Davidson College. The opening reception for the N.E.W. show is Sept. 5, part of the First Friday Gallery Openings in Raleigh, NC.
These are exciting shows that I am honored to be a part of.
