"Painting North Carolina, impressions en plein air" is a beautiful book with 130 images of beautiful North Carolina.  27 artists contributed their impressions of our beautiful state with locales from the mountains to the sea.  It is the work of Kimberlee Maselli and is available for $29.95.  You can contact me if interested or check  it out on Amazon or at Barnes and Noble.  What a wonderful holiday gift to give to someone who love North Carolina.
I'm delighted to be a part of this book.

Elodie Goat Farm Paint Out

Elodie Farm

Yesterday, the Alamance County pleinair painting groups sponsored a paint out at Elodie Goat Farm.  It was a perfect fall day that started with showers but quickly turned into a wonderful sunny day.  About 20 pleinair painters showed up and thoroughly enjoyed the magnificent day and beautiful fall scenery.  And as if that weren't enough to please us, we were treated like royalty with a gourmet lunch served in the dining room of the farm house of Elodie Farms.  Dave, the owner was a gracious host and Nancy and Harley Brookshire are the best event planners that never cease to amaze us.
The picturesque setting was beautiful farmland with horses, donkeys, chickens and of course goats.   They all demanded attention to be petted and some even posed the the artists.  We even were serenaded by two musicians plucking out a little Bluegrass.  It always wonderful to reconnect with friends we've met at previous events and meet new ones.
A great big thank you to Dave for having us out to visit Elodie Farms and especially to Nancy and Harley for making this the special event that it was.  Can't wait until next year!
